Midwich signs distribution deal with Hive

Midwich has signed an exclusive agreement to allow itself and PSCo (which is part of Midwich Group) to offer a full range of products to the UK and Ireland from video playback provider Hive.
As a specialist AV distributor to the trade market, Midwich has long-standing relationships with over 800 vendors, including blue-chip organisations, and has offices in 22 countries employing over 1,800 employees.
The deal means Midwich and PSCo, a specialist in the distribution of LED and video solutions, will be able to offer Hive’s full range of products after launching the initiative at the group’s ‘Beyond the Pixel’ event on June 20th, 2024.
Hive is a developer of video playback solutions which it promotes as affordable and versatile solutions to the display and AV industries.
The company was founded by Dave Green, Trey Harrison, and Mark Calvert, who all worked in the field of high-performance media control before setting up Hive to democratise the media server industry.
Products by Hive available through Midwich and PSCo include the Beehive, Beebox, and Beeblade products which create a flexible and scalable media control ecosystem to power complex and creative visuals in areas like exhibitions, museums, galleries, live shows, theme parks, and live advertisements.
Hive has been designed on the Linux operating system which its creators chose as they felt it had the reliability, sustainable credentials, and deployment power needed to meet the company’s ethos and tagline; “ingenious by nature”.
