Moss, a specialist in branded environments and a part of Moss Global, has invested in a Durst P5 500 in order to expand its print capacity and undertake more complex and demanding projects.

Previously the company purchased a Durst P5 TEX iSUB in 2022 in order to expand on its growing textile and graphics work.

The latest investment is stated as increasing speeds of super-wide materials up to 50% and is in line with Moss’s commitment to sustainability due to the machine’s LED curing technology and reduced energy and ink consumption.

Michael Green, managing director at Moss in the UK, says: “Having invested previously in several Durst machines that gave us fantastic quality, reliability, productivity and versatility, it only felt natural to continue our strong partnership and add the P5 500 to our arsenal. The new machine will give us even more firepower when it comes to meeting customer demands in super wide materials and will be a game-changer for us.”

Moss officially rebranded from MacroArt in April following its purchase by US company Moss Group. The acquisition allowed the company to increase work potential across Europe with a continued focus on its wide-format and event-based offerings.

Moss says the Durst P5’s automated conversion from non-porous to porous materials will help the business achieve quick changeovers while media loading and changing will be simplified by the machine’s integrated roll support.

The Durst P5 500 also includes fully integrated data capture to provide accurate and real-time job costings as well job ID printing which will help job identification within a paperless production environment.

Green adds: “As Moss, we are place makers and dedicated to pushing the boundaries of what is possible in print production. The addition of the Durst P5 500 to our fleet is a testament to our commitment to investing in innovation and excellence. It will not only enhance our super-wide print capabilities but also ensure that we continue to deliver exceptional brand experiences to our clients.”
